Union of India -LRB- AIR 1977 SC 1361 -RRB- , the Supreme Court held that a proclamation under 356 depends on the subjective satisfaction of the President and the Court could not substitute its own satisfaction for that of the President nor could it , in view of article 74 -LRB- 2 -RRB- , enquire into the advice given to the President by the Council of Ministers .
